Cheder
Providing a child with a solid foundation of Jewish Education is the fundamental duty of every parent.

The South Manchester Cheder (based in Bowdon Shule) provides the most amazing prospectus for our children in this Joint Community Project offering a range of classes from Age 4 to Bar-Mitzvah, Bat-Mitzvah and beyond.

Nursery
The Hale Shule Nursery ranks alongside the top nurseries in the UK. Here, your children will combine a carefully planned mix of education with play, all supervised by excellent staff.

Adult Education
Our Adult Learning programme is primarily managed by our Rabbi Portnoy along with Rabbi Aaron & Rebbetzen Eli-Sheva Bloch who work both directly for the Hale Adult Education Trust, our partner for the delivery of Adult Education. We are told that this Education Programme is, quite literally, the envy of almost every other community in the UK.
Our aim is to provide Torah Education to the community at all levels, while showing that being a Torah-observant Jew and having fun in life are not mutually exclusive! This is achieved by practical "Hands-on" workshops, keynote lectures, seminars, Shabbatonim and other events, all which run alongside our Partners in Torah programme which currently manages 1-1 learning for over 100 people, every week!.
Other Trust programmes include lectures and video conferences with top international speakers, specialist seminars, master classes, explanatory services, power breakfasts and discussion groups for women. It also organises community trips to Poland and the popular Hale Israel Family Shabbaton.

Mikvah
Our Mikvah was built in 2003 through the generosity of a local donor. It is superbly appointed and suitable for use by women or men. The ‘stand-alone’ building is situated within the Shule grounds and is available to members of any South Manchester Synagogue.

The Pearl Suite
Our Pearl Suite function room is a perfect place for entertaining.
It is available at a nominal charge, for a variety of uses including Kiddushes, Simchas, Parties, Dances Classes and many more!
Beautifully appointed with varnished wood walls and flooring, it is designed to provide an elegant and versatile environment for memorable business and social functions.
The Pearl Suite’s divisible function room and reception area offers flexible room layout options, including theatre-style seating
for up to 400 people.
There is a purpose-built kosher kitchen and the roof can be opened for open-air chupah ceremonies and Succot parties. Videolink facilities are also available for social events and business use.
The facilities include full disabled access and air conditioning.
